Spring Somatic Group Practice
Restore your body, Reclaim your calm - one mindful movement at a time.
Grief lives in our bodies - in the heaviness of our shoulders, the tightness in our chest, the shallow breath that comes with loss. When words fall short, our bodies hold space for the deep waters of mourning, carrying both our sorrows and our capacity to heal. Somatics offers a gentle, trauma-sensitive approach to navigating grief's landscape through the wisdom of embodied awareness.
This six-week journey creates a safe harbour for those carrying grief in all its forms - whether you're mourning a loved one, processing a significant life change, or holding the quieter griefs that come with being human. Through mindful movement and nervous system regulation practices, we'll explore ways to:
Honour grief's presence while building resilience
Find ground when waves of emotion arise
Release held tension patterns that often accompany loss
Discover moments of ease even amidst difficulty
Connect with others who understand grief's territory
Access your body's natural capacity for healing
Unlike traditional grief support that focuses primarily on talking, somatic practice offers another way through - one that honours the body's role in both holding and transforming our experiences of loss. Here, there's no pressure to "move on" or "get over it." Instead, we create space for grief to be felt, expressed, and gradually integrated at your own pace.
In our supportive community, all expressions of grief are welcome. Whether your loss is fresh or long-held, whether tears come easily or feel stuck, whether you're carrying anticipatory grief or ancestral sorrow - this practice meets you exactly where you are. Together, we'll explore gentle ways to be with what is, while nurturing the deep wisdom and resilience that lives in your body.
Join us for this trauma-informed, grief-informed exploration of embodied healing. Let's walk this path together, holding space for both sorrow and possibility as we learn to move with - rather than away from - our most human experiences.
