Dear grief, (injury/disease)

Dear Grief,

My body, once a source of strength and vitality, now feels like a stranger to me. The injury or illness that has altered my health has brought with it a profound sense of loss. I mourn the activities and freedoms I once took for granted, the simple joys now overshadowed by pain and limitation. The person I was before this change feels distant, and adapting to this new reality feels like an uphill battle. Help me to find solace in my body's new reality and to embrace the strengths that still reside within. May I learn to honour my body and its journey, finding peace amidst the struggle.

With empathy and resilience,
