A Love Note to Grief (& Anger)

Dear Grief,

You’ve walked with me through the labyrinth of sorrow, a steady companion in the darkest of times. Yet, as you’ve lingered, you’ve brought with you another unwelcome yet enlightening guest: Anger.

Anger, you are a fierce and passionate force, a storm that churns within the heart of grief. Your flames burn hot and unrelenting, and at first, you seem like an intruder in this quiet realm of mourning. But as I’ve learned to embrace you, I see you for what you truly are—a powerful catalyst for transformation.

Together, you and Anger have taught me that grief is not just about mourning what’s lost but about awakening to the strength within. Anger, in your intensity, you reveal the depth of my emotions and the need for change. You challenge me to confront injustices, to set boundaries, and to find my voice amidst the silence of loss.

Thank you for showing me that within the turbulence of Anger lies an opportunity for growth. You’ve guided me to channel this raw energy into healing actions and self-discovery. By allowing Anger to transform, I’ve found a way to turn pain into purpose, to let my grief evolve into a source of empowerment.

As I continue this journey with you both, I embrace the lessons you bring. I honour the strength in my sorrow and the fire in my anger, knowing that together, they forge a path to deeper understanding and renewal.

With gratitude for the lessons learned and the strength found,

Sarah
